Brilliance CT - 40-channel configuration
Breakthrough performance
Philips Brilliance CT 40-channel configuration exemplifies a new realm of possibilities in organ perfusion studies, coronary artery imaging, pulmonary imaging and critical care. Brilliance CTs strength is its ability to do comprehensive organ assessment literally within seconds and with a high degree of fidelity.
This breakthrough system features Philips exclusive Back Illuminated Photo (BIP) technology, which solves the wire mess barrier that halted the development of scanners with more than 32 slices, and ultra fast scan times of 0.4 second full gantry rotation in 40-slice mode operation. The 40-channel configuration also offers best-in-class coverage of 40mm and up to 40 images-per-second reconstruction speeds using full 3-D cone beam reconstruction.
The additional detail the 40-channel configuration provides improves the accuracy of diagnosis, and the speed of data acquisition impacts the departmental workflow and allows facilities to extend care to a greater number of patients.

Philips CT and ARRS Webinar: 40-channel clinical results
The launch of the 40-channel CT scanner is shaping the future and early users are discovering new ways of using CT technology.
Listen to three early adopters as they discuss the impact of 40-channel technology on clinical care and what the future holds for patient care and research. This educational webinar was hosted live by the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) and sponsored by Philips Medical Systems.
The webinar features current users of the 40-channel technology and demonstrates firsthand how the technology is impacting data management and workflow, and improving clinical applications like neuro perfusion and cardiac imaging.
